Happy Spooky Season, teachers! I have a free Halloween roll and write math activity that I wanted to share with you! The best part is that you can totally differentiate for your kiddos! This is a great activity to practice subitizing, number ID, and number formations! This works great for a low prep math center, an early finishers activity, or morning work! The students roll one or two dice, and then they will count and color, trace, or write the numbers. This is great because you can give some students one die and others 2 dice- easy differentiation!
How to Differentiate this Halloween Roll and Write
I have included 3 versions of this Halloween roll and write math activity. Roll and Color, Roll and Trace, and Roll and Write. Each activity comes in both color and black and white, and one and two dice options!
Roll and Color- for your students that just need subitizing, 1:1 counting, and number identification. They can roll the dice and color the number. This comes in one and two dice options!
Roll and Trace- Students will practice subitizing, 1:1 counting, and number formation with tracing help. Students roll one or two dice.
Roll and Write- students practice subitizing, 1:1 counting, number identification, and number formation independently, without the help of tracing.
This Halloween roll and write activity is even further differentiated by the ability to use one or two dice! I also love that it is very low prep!
